Qualifications
To run for the Nebraska Legislature, one must generally meet the following qualifications:
- The candidate must be at least 21 years of age.
- The candidate must be a resident of Nebraska, and specifically a resident of the legislative district he or she wishes to serve, for at least one year prior to the general election.
- The candidate must not have ever been convicted of a felony.
